From 23.6. to 29.6. the second international meeting of partner schools subsidized by the EU Comenius project Water-Net took place in Sindelfingen and Stuttgart.

Six groups of students were given the task to build water wheels of old LPs. Under the slogan "Together we can" each group should generate as much energy as possible to power all LED-stars of the euro flag an let it glow. After two hours of cutting, pressing, hammering, screwing and gluing the tension was great, if the experiment succeeds. "Excellent - impressionnant - großartig" the enthusiasm was huge: all 12 LED-stars of the euro flag lit with the energy of self-built water wheels.

In the afternoon, the subject of water was worked artistically under the direction of art teacher Tilman Nagel. In the green screen method scenes were filmed "under water". The student groups developed different scenes, distributed the roles and tinkered from the fund provided their costumes - water monster and Giant plants.

For six days, the Comenius groups concerned exclusively with the topic of water. At Lake Constance, they learned how drinking water is processed and how the water gets clear. In Deer Park in Stuttgart, the students studied the biodiversity in a stream. One group catched many Bachflohkrebse "They love clear water rich in oxygen, So they are good indicators of water quality, "the group said. Another group examined the quality of the water by chemical methods. "The water is slightly alkaline, this is because the stream flowing over calcareous rock."
