about the project in England

The focus of the first project meeting in Dronfield (UK) was the exploration of species and the evaluation of the chemical water quality of rivers.

The students took a trip to a nearby nature reserve and collected information on dominant species. We also ran some tests to evaluate the chemical quality of water. Another aspect was the creation of learning apps, where knowledge gained is made available to others. The second major part of the project meeting dealt with the technical possibilities of water as a resource. The students designed and constructed water wheels and generated electricity on their own.

"Water offers great opportunities for the development of different habitats and species. This also means that these habitats depend very much on water, and a consistent quality. Also, I think in future humanity has still many technical implementation options with water. But this week water has meant to us, above all, community.".
